The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted in September 2015 with 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is a plan of action for people, the planet and prosperity.
The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego strives to be a "one-stop-shop" for Clean Tech businesses and promote the trade of sustainable Scandinavian technologies. The following goals of UN's Envision2030 are of particular importance; SDG7 Affordable & Clean Energy; SDG9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; and SDG17 Partnerships for the Goals. The higher demand for renewable energy has resulted in a bigger need for Energy Storage. Energy storage has an essential role in the transition to greener and cleaner energy. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions, increases grid reliability and reduces costs. Join us on the 16th of November at Green Connections to step up the efforts to address climate change. |

Technology and innovation are an important part of the transition toward a more sustainable economy, we want to focus on Emerging Innovation during our second day of Green Connections.
Cleantech Innovation and entrepreneurship is needed to transition from a fossil-fuel economy to a sustainable economy that is powered by renewable energy. We will focus on four different tracks within Cleantech’s innovation:

With Scandinavia being world-leading in CleanTech and sustainability, SACC-SD has had a mission for over a decade to spread the passion and knowledge to Southern California and support American and Nordic CleanTech businesses. The Finnish-American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego and the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles decided to collaborate and establish a two-day conference that inspires and educates about CleanTech and sustainability, and promotes networking and exchange of sustainable solutions between Nordic and American companies that share our passion for a healthy planet.
