MARTIN EDLUND, CEO of Minesto (Sweden) 
With its award-winning and patented renewable energy technology, Swedish developer Minesto introduced a step change in marine energy, offering predictable, clean and cost-effective electricity generation from low-flow tidal streams and ocean currents. Dr Martin Edlund, CEO of Minesto shared how the company is working to commercialise its unique product to make it an essential part of the future renewable energy mix.

LANE SHARMAN, Co-Founder & Chair of San Diego Energy District Foundation (U.S) 
Lane Sharman innovates business models and he is at the forefront of energy and water innovation. In his speech you learned about one of his major accomplishments, the Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), an extremely hot topic in San Diego right now. He also explained why he actually started the CCA movement in San Diego Oct 2011 in the first place…

NICOLE CAPRETZ, Founder & Executive Director of Climate Action Campaign (U.S) 
Nicole Capretz was the primary author of the City of San Diego’s groundbreaking, legally binding 100% clean energy Climate Action Plan adopted in late 2015. Nicole has since played a pivotal role in helping other cities in the region adopt similar 100% clean energy climate plans. At the Conference you heared Nicole talk about San Diego’s progress on its climate Action Plan and what the next steps are for reaching our climate goals.

CHRISTOPHER RIDGEWELL, CEO of AW-Energy (Finland)
Christopher Ridgewell is a naval architect and has been following wave energy for many years. He has written articles about the biggest renewable source of energy: the ocean. In his speech, he exposed how Californians could benefit sea as a renewable energy source. Christopher represents AW-Energy, which is concentrating on wave energy technology. The company's flagship product is WaveRoller, that is able to convert ocean wave energy to electricity.

KELLY RATCHINSKY, Project Manager of Innovation Norway (U.S)
Kelly Ratchinsky is passionate about innovation in the cleantech, marine, and mobility industries. Kelly manages finding new growth opportunities for Norway; seeking both Invest in Norway and Export opportunities. Kelly is an Ocean Engineer who worked as an Offshore Project Engineer laying oil pipelines in the Gulf of Mexico. Kelly earned her MSc Ocean Engineering with a focus on autonomous vehicles and renewable energy systems. At the Conference she and Eirik Lonning spoke more about "Norway as a test market for high-tech green solutions"

GÖRAN FREDRIKSON, Vice Chairman & Co-founder of Waves4Power (Sweden) 
Wave energy has for generations been the sustainable energy source that many dreamed of harnessing but so far none have commercially succeeded. Waves4Power – as one of but a handful of companies – have demonstrated survival of a full-scale system and have done it in the roughest waters available off the coast of Norway. Göran Fredrikson spoke about how they manage to deliver green energy solutions by generating affordable electric power from ocean waves.

Netled provides turn-key vertical farming systems and innovative greenhouse lightning solutions for their customers. Niko Kurumaa spoke about challenges the traditional lettuce farming faces, and, what kind of technologies Netled provides to tackle these issues.

ERIK SOLHEIM, Former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (Norway) 
Erik Solheim is a well known global leader on environment and development as well as an experienced peace negotiator. He served as Norwegian minister of Environment and International Development from 2005-12.  Currently he is senior adviser at World Resource Institute and Convener of the Global Coalition for Green Belt and Road, and serves as the CEO of the Plastic REVolution Foundation. In his speech you heard him talking about: Out Ocean - how green business can help save the oceans.

EIRIK LONNING, Advisor on EU Funding - Innovation Norway (Norway)
Eirik’s background is in European energy policy, with experience from London and Brussels. He is currently working in Norway on securing soft-funding for pre-commercial projects within energy and cleantech. Given his understanding of energy in Europe, he has currently been seconded to Silicon Valley to work with cleantech projects.  
At the Conference he spoke together with Kelly  on "Norway as a test market for high-tech green solutions".

Jonah Margulis, Country Manager- Aker Solutions (U.S)
Jonah Margulis is the U.S. Country Manager at Aker Solutions, responsible for all operations in the U.S. He has 18 years of experience in the energy industry ranging from nuclear power to subsea oil & gas, and most recently renewables. Over the last ten years, he has specialized in developing and commercializing new technologies for the subsea oil & gas market with a focus on intervention and boosting applications. He is passionate about the success and importance of offshore floating wind and he believes that Aker Solutions can have a lasting positive impact on this emerging industry. In his speech you heard him talking about "The Business Case for Offshore wind".

Robert Wilder, CEO & C0-Founder of WilderHill Clean Energy Index® (U.S) 
Dr. Rob Wilder is CEO & co-founder of WilderHill Clean Energy Index® (ECO), first for climate change solutions and live since 2004: an Index tracker has had over $1.5 billion in assets. Recently he founded the Clean Ocean Index (OCEAN); co-founded WilderHill New Energy Global (NEX) for sustainable energy, is CEO of WHNEF, founded WilderHill Progressive Energy (WHPRO), and Wilder NASDAQ Global Energy Efficient Transport (HAUL).
