Pontus Rystedt presents:
Concentrated Solar Power
Azelio´s game-changing technology for low cost solar energy is revolutionizing in its ability to generate clean electricity on demand around-the clock in a distributed way.
Azelio's solution produces renewable electricity through a Concentrated Solar Power solution using efficient Stirling technology with a multi-hour thermal energy storage system. The system is distributed and dispatchable and has zero emissions. The storage capacity is 13 hours production at nominal effect, meaning renewable electricity at all hours of the day, at a very low cost.
The Stirling engine was developed by Reverend Robert Stirling in Edinburgh in 1816 as an alternative to the steam engine. It uses alternate heating and cooling of an enclosed gas to drive pistons, which turn a flywheel.
“Showcasing this technology is a great milestone for Azelio. We have now proven that this world-unique solution works and together with our partners we will continue the development and commercialization. Low cost and clean electricity that is made accessible on demand also in remote locations at all hours of the day is really a game changer”, says Jonas Eklind, CEO of Azelio in their press release.
