Tomas Hagenfeldt

Background: Tomas has a background as Auditor and as an Entrepreneur. The major part of his career has been within Investment Banking where he served as Vice President and Head of Institutional Sales at Handelsbanken Markets. Since 2004 he has acted as Mentor to a number of successfull start-ups. Tomas is President of Acceleratus Inc, a softlanding site for Swedish Hightech early stage companies that want to establish themselves in Southern California.
Education: BA in Business Administration.

Mary Walshok

Role at SACC: Project/Task Advisor
Industry/Expertise: Academia, Sociology
Background: Mary has been a visiting professor at Stockholm School of Economics many years and held an International Appointment at Oxford University. She is the author of two books, over fifty published articles and book chapters, as well as a variety of reports. Today, Mary is Associate Vice Chancellor for Public Programs at the University of California, Dean, University Extension and Adjunct Professor of Sociology. She is responsible for UCSD´s outreach activities and a variety of community and economic development initiatives. Mary is the recipient of numerous awards and active on several boards.
Education: BA from Pomona College and MA and PhD in Sociology from indianaUniversity.

Bo Hedfors

Role at SACC: Long term Advisor
Industry/Expertise: Global Telecom
Background: Bo is the founder of the telecom/internet consulting practice Hedfone Consulting Inc, and is a veteran in the telecom business management and technology. Previously, Bo was Executive Vice President of Motorola and President of its global wireless infrastructure business based in Chicago. Prior to that, he spent 30 years in different management positions at Ericsson in Europe and the U.S. Bo is Board of Director at Tellabs in Chicago, Chairman of Kineto Wireless in Silicon Valley and a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science.
Education: MSEE from Chalmers University of Technology.
Key interests: Music, arts and sailing.

Erik Nowacki

Role at SACC: Long term Advisor, Past President
Industry/Expertise: Legal services relating to business, corporate transactions and commerical real estate.
Background: A San Diego resident since 1988. Erik is currently the Swedish Consul in San Diego and Managing Attorney of Business Law Inc. After finishing school, Erik worked as Corporate Counsel for a NYSE listed defense contractor in San Diego, and also worked for law firms representing banks and real estate developers. Erik formed Business Law Inc. in 2002 representing small buinesses and real estate professionals.
Education: Juris Doctorate from Claifornia Western School of Law, MBA fron National University, BBA from National University.
Key interests: Travel, skiing and scuba diving in warm locations, such as Hawaii andhe Caribbean.

Åke Persson

Role at SACC: Director
Industry/Expertise: Wireless Industry
Background: When retiring in 2004, Åke was the Ericsson President in San Diego and a member of the Ericsson Group Executive Management team. He has established and managed several new business lines and served on the board of several companies around the world. Today, Åke is engaged with consulting activities and serves as a director on corporate boards. For example on the boards of CommNexus and EvoNexus. Åke is a member and mentor of the Chairmen´s Round Table in San Diego and a member of the Council of Advisors of the Jacob School of Engineering at UCSD.
Education: Uppsala University.
Key interests: Fly fishing, golf, skiing and sailing.
