About SACC SD
Mission: To promote the commercial exchange between Sweden and San Diego!
The Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in San Diego was founded in 1989
and has grown into a thriving network of companies and individuals interested in the
commercial and social exchange between Sweden and the Southern California’s San
Diego region.
Our program is defined by a Board of Directors, representing a vast range of
industries, including High Tech, Life Science and Clean Tech. The day-to-day
operation is managed by 4-5 Swedish Trainees, Marketing Managers, recruited
from local and Swedish Universities. The Chamber’s Advisory Board further
strengthens our academic and industrial network reach.
During 2011 we moved in to new offices at 9710 Scranton Road in Sorrento Valley,
the High Tech district of San Diego. Our office is located within an Entrepreneurial
Meeting Space, providing good exposure to the local start-up community. Marketing
Managers support entrepreneurs and other member companies in projects as well as
trainee placement services through the SACC J1 visa program.
In addition to services we offer our members monthly Business Mixers, Trade
Missions, Speaker events and Social gatherings for the classic Swedish celebrations.
Throughout the local business network we assist Swedish and local companies
in better understanding practical and cultural aspects of doing business between
Sweden and San Diego.
